Case Overview

Indoor offices include general offices, office buildings, business centers, etc. Due to the particularity of the office space, it is required that office personnel need to stay clear-headed, comfortable and peaceful for a long time, work efficiently and not feel tired. Offices generally have the highest usage rate during the day. The daylighting of the office space is usually based on the needs of office functions, while making full use of natural light, combined with artificial lighting to maintain a stable, reasonable, comfortable and healthy light environment.

Introduction to Office Lighting

The purpose of lighting is to create a good working environment that meets the illumination requirements and has uniform illumination. Reduce the stroboscopic effect and glare of the lamps to reduce the visual fatigue of office workers. Therefore, a cooler light color with a color temperature of 4200~5300K should be used, which is closer to the morning sun, in order to maintain a calm and clear mind. The installation method can be ceiling installation with bare tube, or hoisting with metal reflective fluorescent lamp. Office buildings often use aluminum alloy reflective grille fluorescent lamps embedded in the ceiling for installation.

Office Lighting Requirements:

  1. Choose a suitable light source color temperature and color rendering index, generally choose >4000K color temperature in office, and choose Ra≥75 for color rendering index.
  2. Lighting level: different environments and different places have different requirements for lighting. The illuminance of the office place should meet the requirements of use, generally 500-1000lx.
  3. Illumination uniformity: Reasonably arrange the lamps and lanterns to make the illuminance uniform, so that the difference between the maximum and minimum illuminance and the average illuminance in the office is less than 1/3 of the average illuminance.
    1. Safety: Mainly consider the safety of the lamp structure, the safety of electrical appliances, whether the lamp meets the national standard, whether it has passed the safety certification, etc.
    2. Energy saving and environmental protection: use high-efficiency light sources, high-efficiency, long-life, reasonable light distribution lamps, high-performance, long-life accessories, etc. The light distribution generally chooses the batwing light distribution, so that the light intensity can be evenly distributed and the distribution is wider.Comfort and glare control: When there is too high brightness or too large brightness ratio in the field of vision, people will feel dazzling glare. The measures to prevent glare are mainly to limit the brightness of the light source and arrange the light source reasonably. If the light source is above 45 degrees of the line of sight, form a shading angle or use an opaque material to block the light source.

    Introduction to Traditional Fluorescent Lamps:

    Fluorescent lamp structure and function: There is a filament at each end of the fluorescent lamp, the lamp tube is filled with traces of argon and thin mercury vapor, and the inner wall of the lamp tube is coated with fluorescent powder. The gas between the two filaments emits ultraviolet light when conducting electricity, which makes the phosphor emit soft visible light.

    Working characteristics of fluorescent lamp: When the lamp tube starts to ignite, a high voltage is required. The lamp tube is filled with some special gas, and the tube wall of the lamp tube is coated with fluorescent powder. After energization, light is generated due to discharge. The two ends of the fluorescent tube are equipped with filaments, and the inner wall is coated with a uniform thin fluorescent powder. The tube is evacuated into a vacuum, filled with a small amount of inert gas, and a small amount of liquid mercury is injected at the same time.

     

    Inductive ballast is when the current in the coil changes, it will cause a change in the magnetic flux in the coil, thereby generating an induced electromotive force. Its direction is opposite to the direction of current, thus hindering the change of current.

    Introduction of LED light tube:

    The LED light tube and the traditional fluorescent lamp have the same dimensions and caliber. There are four lengths of 600mm, 900mm, 1200mm, and 1500mm, and their power is 9W, 14W, 18W and 25W respectively.

    The actual power consumption of a 20W traditional fluorescent lamp is about 53W, and the actual power consumption of a 40W traditional fluorescent lamp is about 68W. The brightness of 9W LED tube is brighter than that of 18W fluorescent tube. The brightness of 18W LED lamp is brighter than traditional 40W fluorescent lamp.

    In particular, the brightness of LED lights is softer and easier for people to accept. The service life is between 30,000 and 50,000 hours. The working voltage is AC85V-260V (AC), no starter and ballast are needed. Quick start, low power, no flicker, and no eye fatigue. It is not only super energy-saving, but also more environmentally friendly. It is currently the main product that replaces traditional fluorescent lamps.

    1. Environmental protection lamps, protect the earth

    The traditional fluorescent lamp contains a large amount of mercury vapor, if it is broken, the mercury vapor will volatilize into the atmosphere. However, LED fluorescent lamps do not use mercury and LED products do not contain lead, which protects the environment.

    The light direction of traditional lamps is 360 degrees, while the LED lamps are directional and will not cause light loss.

    1. Quiet and comfortable, no noise

    LED lamps do not produce noise, and are the best choice for occasions where precision electronic instruments are used. Suitable for occasions such as libraries and offices.

    1. Soft light, protect eyes

    Traditional fluorescent lamps use alternating current, so 100-120 strobes are produced per second. LED lamps directly convert alternating current to direct current without flickering and protect the eyes.

    LED lamps do not produce ultraviolet rays, so they do not have a lot of mosquitoes around the lamp source like traditional lamps. The interior will become cleaner, sanitary and tidy.

    1. Voltage adjustable 80V-265V

    The traditional fluorescent lamp is lit by the high voltage released by the rectifier, and cannot be lit when the voltage drops. The LED lamps can be lit within a certain range of voltage, and the brightness of the light can be adjusted.

    The power consumption of the LED fluorescent lamp is half of that of the traditional fluorescent lamp, and the lifespan is 10 times that of the traditional fluorescent lamp. It can be used for a long time without replacement, reducing labor costs. It is more suitable for occasions that are difficult to replace.

    Selection and design of profile aluminum

    Aluminum profile has several cross-sectional shapes, which vary according to the substrate used. Some have a cross section in the middle, some are hollow in the middle of the extrusion, and some use two upper and lower layers. The rear heat dissipation forms also adopt different methods, some are small corrugated, some are fin fins, and some do not have heat sinks. The thickness of the heat sink is also different. Choose the application according to the actual situation. Some are not coated with grease, and some have to be coated with grease on the aluminum profile to increase the heat dissipation effect.

    Selection and design of PC cover material

    The PC cover has several cross-sectional shapes, some are smaller than a semicircle, some are semicircle, and there is also a perfect circle. The matching aluminum extrusion type will also correspond to it.

     

    Some PC covers are not a full circle, so there will be aluminum profiles to match them behind. This structure is suitable for the use of SMD chips. The aluminum profile added later can effectively dissipate the heat generated by the LED in time. The round PC cover structure does not use profile aluminum, so this structure is suitable for plug-in lamp beads.

    The surface of the PC cover will also vary according to the required uniformity of light. Some are completely transparent. The advantage of this is that all the light can be irradiated to the outside of the tube.

    Some are striped. This solution can achieve the effect of dispersing the light and obtain a more uniform light, but there will be a certain light loss (about 10%).

    Others are milky white. This scheme can achieve the effect of uniform light emission, which is the same as the effect of traditional fluorescent lamps, but this scheme will lose 30% of the light.

    Different PC lampshades can be selected according to different use occasions to achieve corresponding effects.

    Different color temperatures of LEDs will produce different visual effects. 3000K-4500K will produce a warm feeling, but the relative contrast of this color temperature is low.

    4500K-6500K is what we call positive white light. It looks white.

    6500-8000K is a cold white light, which looks like an icy feeling. This kind of color temperature is relatively high in contrast.

    Different color temperatures can be selected to achieve different effects according to different use occasions.
